Lextran's general manager has resigned to take a position in Sarasota, Fla.
Rocky Burke tendered his resignation effective Dec. 19, according to a news release issued by Lextran.
Burke has accepted a position as director of Sarasota County Area Transit.
Burke, who had been general manager at Lextran since February 2008, was an employee of Transdev, the international transportation company that manages Lextran.
Lextran's assistant general manager, Jared Forte, resigned in October. He is acting assistant general manager at Sun Tran in Tucson, Ariz., which also is operated by Transdev.
Formerly known as Veolia Transportation, the company took on the name of its parent company in August.
"On behalf of the Lextran Board of Directors, we will work alongside Transdev to make certain this transition will be executed as smoothly as possible for both the Lextran staff and the Lexington community," Jeff Fugate, Lextran's board chairman, said in the news release.
