The Lexington Parking Authority is offering a chance for citizens to clear their parking records and help those in need with a Food for Fines program.
Through Dec. 19, citizens may take 10 cans of food to the Lexpark office, 122 North Broadway, to pay for any meter citation.
Customers with multiple citations may bring in 10 cans for each one, including those that are past due. The food will be donated to God’s Pantry Food Bank. Canned goods should be at least 14 to 15 ounces.
