Makeup day for waste collection

Lexington residents whose normal waste-collection day is Thursday will receive service a day early. No collections will be made Thanksgiving Day. Service will not change for residents whose collection day is Monday, Tuesday or Friday.


Gobble, gobble, gobble

It's Thanksgiving. That means turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and pie. But you don't have to overdo it. Or do you?

Shop, shop, shop

Black Friday actually starts Thursday, with at least one store opening at 6 a.m. Many others will be open by 6 p.m.

Sounds like a good road trip for UK women

While you're here in the cold, the Kentucky women's team will be in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, for the holiday, playing in the Paradise Jam Island Tournament. UK will face Illinois (6 p.m. Thursday) and Oklahoma (6 p.m. Friday).


Let there be Christmas lights

If so, you can bring the oil from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to Henry Clay High School, where students plan to turn cooking oil into biodiesel for a science project.
