SPECIAL NOTES

Lexington's annual Christmas Parade will be Tuesday along Main Street from Midland Avenue to Mill Street. Midland Avenue will be closed, starting at 5 p.m.; Main Street will close from Midland to Mill Street before the parade, which begins at 7 p.m.

MAJOR TRAFFIC IMPACT

North Upper Street between West Short Street and West Main Street will be closed 24 hours a day, and traffic will be detoured to North Martin Luther King Boulevard, through Friday for material staging and building renovation on the 21C Museum Hotel.

Rose Street between Columbia Avenue and Huguelet Drive will be closed 24 hours a day through Sept. 1 for construction of a University of Kentucky science building. Local access will be provided for Funkhouser Drive.

SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT

The southbound left lane of North Mill Street between West Second and West Third streets will be blocked through Dec. 19 for utility work.

Utility work will have the following effects 24 hours a day along North Upper Street:

■ Lane blockages of both lanes at West Fourth Street and the southbound right lanes between West Third and West Fourth streets through Dec. 9.

■ Intersections at Church, Mechanic and West Third streets through Dec. 19.

■ Southbound right lane between West Third and Church streets through Dec. 19.

Oak Hill Drive between Park View and Locust avenues will be closed 24 hours a day through Friday for sewer work. Traffic will be detoured.

The left outbound lane and left turn lane of Richmond Road at St. Ann Drive will be blocked through Wednesday for street repairs.

The left turn lanes of South Limestone at West Main Street and of West Vine Street at South Limestone will be blocked 24 hours a day through Dec. 20 for the CentrePointe project.

The westbound lane of West Second Street at North Mill Street will be blocked through Dec. 19 for utility work.

Both lanes of West Third Street at North Mill Street will be blocked one lane at a time through Dec. 19 for utility work.

The left lane of West Vine Street between South Upper Street and South Limestone will be blocked through Wednesday for CentrePointe construction.

MODERATE TRAFFIC IMPACT

On Charles Avenue, both lanes between Ash and Oak streets and the northbound lane between Oak and Hickory streets will be blocked one lane at a time through Dec. 19 for utility work.

The right lane of East Second Street between Spruce Street and North Martin Luther King Boulevard will be blocked through Wednesday for street repairs.

Hickory Street will be blocked one lane at a time between Charles Avenue and West Third Street through Dec. 19 for utility work.

A dumpster will block a portion of Katherine Place 24 hours a day through Dec. 16 for construction work.

The outbound lane of Roosevelt Boulevard at Georgetown Street will be blocked through Wednesday for street repairs. Traffic will be maintained.

The inbound lane of Tahoma Road at Nicholasville Road will be blocked through Wednesday for street repairs.

The eastbound lane of West Third Street between Hickory Street and Newtown Pike will be blocked through Dec. 19 for utility work.
