The Good Giving Guide Challenge, a now annual online charitable event for numerous Bluegrass nonprofits, ended this weekend with more money and more donors than the year before.
The Challenge is a partnership between the Bluegrass Community Foundation and Smiley Pete Publishing. Lisa Adkins, president and CEO of the foundation, said Sunday that this year's campaign raised $1.73 million, up 3.7 percent from $1.67 million in 2013. There were 4,632 donors and more than 100 nonprofits that benefitted.
