Lexington traffic report, week of Dec. 15

Work done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., unless otherwise noted.

MAJOR TRAFFIC IMPACT

North Upper Street between West Short Street and West Main Street will be closed 24 hours a day, and traffic will be detoured to North Martin Luther King Boulevard, through April 5 for material staging and building renovation on the 21C Museum Hotel.

Rose Street between Columbia Avenue and Huguelet Drive will be closed 24 hours a day through Sept. 1 for construction of a University of Kentucky science building. Local access will be provided for Funkhouser Drive.

West Vine Street between South Limestone and South Upper Street will be closed from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Monday for equipment delivery. Police will control traffic in the area.

SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT

Weather permitting, lanes of the following streets will be blocked through Thursday for milling and paving. One lane of these roads will remain open at all times.

Euclid Avenue between Ashland Avenue and High Street;

Fontaine Road between High Street and Desha Road;

High Street between Ashland Avenue and Sunset Drive.

The outside lanes of Man o' War Boulevard between Rio Dosa Drive and Richmond Road will be blocked in both directions through Dec. 31 for sidewalk removal and replacement

The westbound lane of Mason-Headley Road near its intersection with Cold Harbor Drive will be blocked Wednesday and Thursday for tree removal.

There will be lane blockages as needed on North Broadway at West Fourth Street through Friday for utility work.

The southbound left lane of North Mill Street between West Second and West Third streets will be blocked through Friday for utility work.

Utility work will have the following effects on along North Upper Street:

■ Southbound right lane between West Third and West Fourth streets through Friday.

■ Intersections at Church, Mechanic and West Third streets through Friday; 24 hours a day.

■ Southbound right lane between West Third and Church streets through Friday; 24 hours a day.

■ Lane blockages on both lanes at West Fourth Street, one lane at a time through Friday; 24 hours a day.

The left turn lanes of South Limestone at West Main Street and of West Vine Street at South Limestone will be blocked 24 hours a day through Saturday for the CentrePointe project.

The right outbound lane of Todds Road between Forest Hill Drive and Kavanaugh Lane will be blocked through Dec. 31 or utility work.

The eastbound lane of West Fourth Street between Jefferson Street and North Broadway will be blocked through Dec. 31 for utility work.

The westbound lane of West Second Street at North Mill Street will be blocked through Friday for utility work.

Both lanes of West Third Street at North Mill Street will be blocked one lane at a time through Friday for utility work.

MODERATE TRAFFIC IMPACT

One lane of Bryan Station Road will be blocked between Maumoud Lane and Orientate Way in front of Loman Farm on Thursday while horses are being loaded.

On Charles Avenue, both lanes between Ash and Oak streets and the northbound lane between Oak and Hickory streets will be blocked one lane at a time through Friday for utility work.

Hickory Street will be blocked one lane at a time between Charles Avenue and West Third Street through Friday for utility work.

A dumpster will block a portion of Katherine Place 24 hours a day through Tuesday for construction work.

The eastbound lane of West Third Street between Hickory Street and Newtown Pike will be blocked through Friday for utility work.

The parking lane of Woodland Avenue between Columbia and Hilltop avenues will be blocked through Thursday for utility work.
