Bluegrass Sustainable Business Summit will be June 15

A Bluegrass Sustainable Business Summit, a one-day workshop uniting regional experts offering tools, tips and resources to increase sustainability and improve businesses’ bottom line, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 15 at Locust Trace Agriscience Center. Topics will include sustainable development, energy, water and waste. Formally known as the Go Green, Save Green Workshop, the 2016 summit is open to all businesses as well as the public.

Following registration and a continental breakfast, attendees will select an hour-long session from three concurrent tracks presented by regional sustainability experts and stakeholders. Dupree Catering will serve lunch at noon, followed by a presentation from keynote speaker Michele Muler, environmental manager at L’Oreal. Two additional one-hour sessions will follow, culminating with a tour of Locust Trace Agriscience Center and a social hour at Ethereal Brewing.

Registration is $45 in advance, $55 at the door. A $15 student registration is available. The cost includes lunch and a drink ticket for the social hour.
