Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo and his wife, Allison, welcomed a baby girl to the family Tuesday evening, according to an announcement from his office.
No details on the name, the birth, or hospital were released.
"I am so excited," the lieutenant governor said in a statement. "There is no greater gift than becoming a parent. Allison and the baby are doing fine, and I just feel so blessed and am looking forward to all that lies ahead."
Mongiardo said he plans to spend the holidays with his wife, baby and both sides of the family as they come to welcome home their baby girl. Mongiardo is a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate.
