Three charged in assault and robbery of Frankfort resident

Frankfort police arrested three men they say assaulted a victim during an armed robbery.

Officers responded at 1:33 a.m. Tuesday to a complaint at a home in the 700 block of Ridgeview Drive. A victim told police that two masked men with handguns forced their way into the home and demanded money, according to Frankfort police. The men hit the victim during the robbery. The suspects fled after they got cash from the victim, police said.

Police later arrested one suspect in a vehicle at the Speedway gas station on Versailles Road and two suspects at a home on Fields Avenue, police said. Gerren Keith Spain, 18, of Ellenwood, Ga., was arrested on charges of first-degree robbery and trafficking marijuana. Jamar E'Sean Rancher, 18, and Corey Edward Hay, 22, both of Frankfort, were arrested on charges of first-degree robbery.
