January 25, 2013 06:02 PM

Frankfort police are looking for a Lexington man in the alleged fraudulent sale of advertising.

Carl Elovitz Jr., 60, claims to represent a company called "The Athletic Department" as he seeks to sell advertising for the printed program of the 41st District Basketball Tournament, Frankfort police said in a release.

The tournament hosted by Frankfort High School will be held in February at the Frankfort Civic Center, said Frankfort Police Maj. Fred Deaton.

The documents that Elovitz presents to potential advertisers list the company's address as a Lexington post office box.

Anyone with information for this investigation or about the location of Elovitz may call Frankfort police Det. Herb Wilson at (502) 875-8523 or Frankfort Crime Stoppers at (502) 875-8648.
