A Frankfort man has been arrested in connection with a series of indecent exposure incidents at the University of Kentucky, campus police announced Thursday.
Vijay Kumar Matta, 34, of Frankfort was arrested Wednesday by Frankfort Police on a warrant issued in Fayette County, police said.
Matta has been charged with one count of indecent exposure, UK police said. He is on probation for a similar crime in Monroe, Ohio.
UK issued public safety notices April 5, 7 and 19, after reports of indecent exposure involving a man matching Matta's description. In most cases, the man was driving a car matching the description of Matta's gray Honda Accord and asking female students for directions, UK's news release said. He exposed himself when the victims approached his car.

After observing a gray Honda Accord not using traffic signals when making turns near Columbia Avenue on May 1, UK police questioned the driver, who was Matta.
After investigation and discussion with the victims, UK police conducted a photo lineup, and a victim identified Matta. An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday.
"I am proud of our detectives, who have vigorously pursued this case," UK Police Chief Joe Monroe said. "And I thank the victims, who have been very cooperative in our investigation."
