NICHOLASVILLE — A Nicholasville man spent his 22nd birthday in jail Wednesday after he was charged with second-degree assault.
Jerry Gross was arrested and charged with allegedly cutting Ransom Griffey shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday at a house in the 900 block of Hickory Hill Avenue, Nicholasville police said.
The two got into a fight and Griffey wound up with minor cuts to his arm, said Capt. Chris Cain.
Gross pleaded not guilty Wednesday in an arraignment before Jessamine District Judge Bill Oliver. Gross remains in the Jessamine County jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
