Two Jessamine men injured in fight

One man was cut in the stomach and another was hit in the head with a log during a fight early Tuesday in southern Jessamine County, police said.

James Davis, 20, was cut and Christopher Johns, 33, was hit in the head, Jessamine County Deputy Sheriff Allen Peel said.

Davis was treated at University of Kentucky Hospital. UK didn't have information on Johns.

The fight occurred about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday on Lock No. 8 Road in the southernmost tip of Jessamine County.

No charges have been filed, and the sheriff's office is investigating, Peel said.
