The Jessamine County teen who drowned in the Big South Fork River Saturday has been identified as Bryce C. Hood.
Hood, 18, of Nicholasville, was swimming with friends at the old mine 18 coal miner's camp in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area when he was swept under, McCreary County coroner Daniel Ridner said.
Hood's death has been ruled as an accidental drowning. He was not wearing a life jacket.
