A Lexington woman was found safe hours after her relatives reported she had been kidnapped at gunpoint Friday.
Megan Young, 22, was missing for about five hours. Relatives told police Young's boyfriend forced her from the home at 410 Greenlawn Court and into a gray Ford Taurus, Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.
Devon Griffin, 21, of Lexington, is charged with kidnapping, wanton endangerment and terroristic threatening. He was picked up in Jessamine County by Lexington police around 3:45 p.m., Roberts said.
Relatives told police the couple had an argument involving someone in Nicholasville and may have traveled in that direction, Roberts said. Lexington police notified the Jessamine County Sheriff's Office, she said.
Jessamine County Deputy Sheriff Allen Peel said the sheriff's department did not assist. He said the Lexington and Nicholasville police departments made the arrest.
