Holiday celebration for HANDS

Participants in the Jessamine County Health Department HANDS program will gather at Main & Maple Coffeehouse in Nicholasville Wednesday for the 2010 HANDS Holiday Event, sponsored by Kentucky Bank.

HANDS (Health Access Nurturing Development Services) is a free, state-sponsored support program for first-time parents of children up to 2 years old. Through regular visits and events, HANDS professionals provide participants with information to successfully cope with the worries, questions and stress of being a first-time parent.

Drinks and desserts will be provided by Main & Maple; holiday gift bags will be served to HANDS participants during the events; Deborah Hamilton of Kentucky Bank will speak; and participants and their children will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with Santa.
