Repair work on a portion of U.S. 68 in Jessamine County began Friday, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said.
Since Jan. 3, both lanes have been closed from Ky. 33 (Pekin Pike) to the Mercer County line. A portion of the road collapsed near there.
Repairs were originally scheduled for Monday but were delayed because of the winter storm earlier this week.
The work will take about two weeks. The road will remain closed until the repairs are completed.
