A portion of U.S. 68 in Jessamine County was reopened to traffic Tuesday afternoon, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said.
Since Jan. 3, both lanes have been closed from Ky. 33 (Pekin Pike) to the Mercer County line. A portion of the road collapsed near there.
There will be road closings on Wednesday and Thursday, weather permitting, the Cabinet said. The temporary closings will last about an hour and are necessary for additional repair work to be completed.
A suggested alternative route for motorists is to take Blue Grass Parkway to U.S. 127 to Harrodsburg.
