A Nicholasville man arrested early Tuesday has confessed to robberies in Danville, Nicholasville and Lexington, Danville police said.
Justin K. Elliott, 21, was charged in four recent Danville robberies, Assistant Police Chief Tony Gray said.
Elliott was arrested shortly after a robbery was reported at 12:22 a.m. Tuesday at Country Hearth Inn in Danville.
A man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and carrying a small handgun entered the motel, demanded money from the clerk and then fled in a black car. Police stopped the car at the U.S. 127 Bypass and Denmark Drive.
Elliott also has been charged in Danville in a Jan. 27 robbery at Brookcove Center, a Jan. 31 robbery of Comfort Suites, and the Feb. 1 robbery of Super 8 Motel.
In Nicholasville, police have charged Elliott in a Jan. 18 robbery of a BP station, the Jan. 22 robbery of Eli's Shell and the Jan. 28 robbery of another Shell station.
Lexington police have warrants for Elliott's arrest in the recent armed robberies of Shell stations on Saron Drive and at Palomar Centre, and the Speedway on Beaumont Centre Parkway.
Elliott was being held in the Boyle County jail.
