A Powerball ticket than won $1 million was bought in Nicholasville, lottery officials said Thursday.
The ticket was sold at Prime Star No. 7 at 980 South Main Street, according to a Kentucky Lottery news release.
No one hit the overall Powerball jackpot Wednesday night.
The $1 million ticket matched 5 of the drawn numbers but not the Powerball. The person who bought the ticket increased its value from a $200,000 second-place prize to $1 million by buying the $1 Power Play feature, lottery officials said.
The winning numbers were: 12-47-48-52-55, and the Powerball was 13.
The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize. The store receives $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
