Two Macon, Ga., men were charged Friday with two counts of attempted murder in connection with a Thursday afternoon shooting in Jessamine County.
Mark J. Buckland, 45, and Michael N. Buckland, 36, were arrested after turning themselves in at the Jessamine County jail, said Maj. Allen Peel of the Jessamine County Sheriff's Office.
The two allegedly shot at a motorist and his passenger, who were leaving Burr Oak Drive in upscale Forest Hills Estates onto U.S. 68.
The driver of the truck, whose name was not released by the sheriff's office, did not suffer a gunshot wound, but he was struck in the left eye by glass from the shattered driver's-side window. He also suffered facial injuries.
The victim was able to drive back to his house on Chinkapin Drive in the subdivision. The victim and his passenger refused hospitalization.
The shooting is thought to have escalated from a domestic disturbance reported Wednesday at Hobby Lobby in Brannon Crossing Centre, in northern Jessamine County.
