A Dayton, Ohio, man has been charged in connection with the sexual abuse of a child in Jessamine County.
Moses Kuhbander, 28, was transported Wednesday from the Montgomery County jail in Dayton to the Jessamine County Detention Center in Nicholasville.
Kuhbander was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and being a persistent felony offender second-degree. He was earlier indicted by a Jessamine County grand jury, said Jessamine County Chief Deputy Sheriff Allen Peel.Kuhbander allegedly subjected a child less younger than 12 to sexual contact on July 20 in Jessamine County.
First-degree sexual abuse is a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison.

Kuhbander refused to waive extradition from Ohio, so a governor's warrant was issued to bring him back to Kentucky, Peel said.
Kuhbander remains in the Jessamine County jail in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond.
