The man arrested after a Nicholasville woman was killed in one-vehicle crash in Jessamine County was charged Thursday with manslaughter, Chief Sheriff's Deputy Allen Peel said.
Marlene Chaffin, 56, died at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington, where she was taken Monday after the crash, Peel said.
Chaffin was a passenger in a Chevrolet S-10 pickup driven by Jeffrey Tuggle, 51, of Nicholasville.
Tuggle was arrested at the scene on a charge of driving under the influence. He was charged with second-degree manslaughter because he was recklessly driving the truck while under the influence of alcohol, Peel said.

The crash happened about 4:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of Frankfort-Ford Road east of Wilmore. The truck traveled several yards off the road and into a stand of trees.
Chaffin was thrown from the truck, and it landed on top of her, Peel said. Several passersby stopped and removed Chaffin from under the vehicle, Peel said.
Tuggle was being held in the Jessamine County jail. His bond is set at $25,000.
Tuggle's arraignment is set for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
