Man stabbed during street fight in Richmond; witnesses, suspects sought

Richmond police are looking for suspects or witnesses to a Thursday night stabbing and related disturbance that might have involved as many as 20 people.

Shortly before 9 p.m., Richmond police went to the 500 block of Ballard Drive on a report of shots fired. While en route, officers were informed that as many as 20 people were involved in the disturbance and that a man might have been stabbed.

When officers arrived, several people were standing in the street screaming, and it was apparent a fight had occurred just before police arrived. Officers saw a man lying in the road and was discovered that he had been stabbed and cut.

The victim suffered a stab wound to the lower abdomen and a cut to his forearm. He was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington, where he underwent surgery and was listed in good condition, police said in a news release.

Officers also received information that another man had been shot. Officers determined that the man hadn't been shot but had suffered a minor injury when something was thrown at him.

No arrests had been made by Friday afternoon. However, Richmond police are looking for several people who were involved in or were present during the disturbance.

They include Roger Million, Mike "Mikey" Evans, William "Damien" Gross, William "Pen" Combs, Joe Mahoney and Journey Crouch. Anyone with information on where any of them might be is asked to call the Richmond Police Department at (859) 623-1162.
