A 58-year-old Berea man was charged with two counts of attempted murder of a police officer after he fired on troopers early Thursday, according to Kentucky State Police.
Herold Hill was taken to the Madison County jail after a standoff with police on Raven Drive in Berea.
Police responded to a complaint that someone was shooting a gun about 3 a.m., police said. Hill allegedly fired at officers, who fired back before Hill barricaded himself in a home. Hill was arrested about 9 a.m.
No one was injured, police said.
