I-75 crash kills Ohio woman

RICHMOND — An Ohio woman died Saturday night after a collision on Interstate 75 in Madison County, Kentucky State Police said.

Michelle Moses, 21, of Mason, Ohio, died in the crash, which shut down the northbound lanes between exits 90 and 95.

Mason was driving a 2007 Mazda north when she lost control, struck the median twice while spinning, and then came to rest partially blocking the left northbound lane.

Her car was then struck by a 1996 Ford Mustang driven by Melvin A. Baker, 53, of Louisville. State police said the impact threw the Mazda over the median, causing several southbound vehicles to hit it.

The crash was reported shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday. The northbound lanes reopened early Sunday.

There was no information about Baker's injuries. Trooper Robert Purdy was investigating.
