Richmond police are investigating the death of a man who suffered a ruptured brain aneurism during a party that got out of hand at a hotel early Sunday.
Police responding to a report of a disturbance at the Glyndon Hotel on West Main Street in Richmond at 4:55 a.m. found Trevor W. Jones, 29, on the floor in the second-floor hallway.
A large group of people had been drinking and partying when a fight broke out among several men at the party, police said in a press release. Jones collapsed after either becoming involved in the fight or intervening to try to stop it.
Several people were trying to perform CPR on Jones when police arrived. Police took over and administered CPR until an ambulance came and took him to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, where he died at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
An autopsy Tuesday revealed that Jones died of an aneurism.
Richmond police said they are conducting a follow-up investigation to determine if anyone else should be considered responsible.
