RICHMOND — A Madison County grand jury has indicted a Berea man on a charge of murder in connection with the death of his 3-month-old daughter.
Paul Sanlan Farthing Jr., 31, was indicted Wednesday. The indictment says Farthing caused Rylee Campbell to suffer traumatic brain injuries that resulted in her death in April.
In an interview after Farthing was arrested, his father, Paul Farthing Sr. of Richmond, said his son was giving Rylee a bath in the kitchen sink and she slipped out of his hands, bumping her head on a faucet. But investigators think there was more to it than that.
Farthing Jr. is scheduled to be arraigned July 8 before Madison Circuit Court Judge Jean Chenault Logue.
