RICHMOND — An escapee from the Madison County Detention Center was returned to custody Sunday, the Madison County Sheriff's Office said.
Brian D. Isaacs, 23, was arrested Sunday night and charged with second-degree escape, Deputy Willard Reardon said. Isaacs, who was in jail on a charge related to manufacture of methamphetamine, had not returned from work release Thursday.
Deputy Chris Sizemore received information from the jail that Isaacs might be on Turpin Drive in Richmond. When Sizemore went to the check the area, he saw Isaacs run from a building in the 300 block of Turpin Drive.
After a brief foot chase, Sizemore arrested Isaacs. Neither man was injured.
