A Madison County man who was missing for five days is back at home and safe, authorities said Sunday.
The Madison County Sheriff's Department said Richard Ross, 53, was found Saturday night by family members about a mile from his home on Poosey Ridge Road.
Ross was dehydrated and tired, but not injured, the sheriff's department said.
Rescue teams had been combing the rural Poosey Ridge area since Ross was reported missing after failing to show up for supper Tuesday night. Ross, who is diabetic, had left his insulin at home.
