The death of an elderly Madison County woman whose body was found after a fire almost a week ago now is being investigated as a homicide, Kentucky State Police said Friday.
Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Anna Marshall, 86, died as a result of brunt-force trauma, state police said.
Marshall's body was found at the scene of a residential fire on College Hill Road near the Waco community in Madison County on March 25. She was the mother of former Madison County school superintendent Glenn Marshall, who died in December.
Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the KSP post at Richmond at (859) 623-2404 or 1-800-222-5555.
