Madison County briefs: Terminators take the gold

The Madison County Terminators participated in the Special Olympics of Kentucky's Northern Kentucky Regional Flag Football Tournament at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills on April 15.

The Terminators won the gold medal in the B Blue Division. They won 33-6 over the Lexington Packers and 32-0 over the Pitt Rocks.

This is Madison County's second year competing in flag football. Last year, the Terminators placed second in the Special Olympic State Games.

The team's head coach is Jason Strothman and the assistant coach is Lavonda Stewart.

The Terminators will play May 19 in the Louisville Regional Tournament at Christian Academy of Louisville.

Job fair at Armed Forces Reserve Center

A Madison County job fair will be 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, 233 Battlefield Memorial Highway, Richmond. The first two hours are reserved for transitioning military personnel, veterans, members of the National Guard, reservists and their dependents. At 4 p.m., doors will open to all job seekers. The event is free. Attendees should be prepared for interviews, dress appropriately and bring a current résumé. Veterans should bring proof of military service. For information, contact A.J.
