A Richmond man faces multiple drug- and gun-related charges after Kentucky State Police stopped him early Wednesday on Interstate 75 in Whitley County.
Dwayne T. Farmer, 30, was pulled over in a 2014 Nissan Altima about 2:10 a.m. near the Williamsburg exit in Whitley County, the state police said in a news release from the London post.
Sgt. Bill Elliotte stopped Farmer after receiving a complaint and seeing him driving recklessly, state police said.
After talking with him, Elliotte suspected that Farmer was under the influence of drugs and searched his car, police said.
Inside, Elliotte found suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a stolen handgun, police said.
Farmer was booked into the Whitley County jail on charges that include driving under the influence, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, drug trafficking, and resisting arrest.
