Carson was found in the back bedroom of her mobile home at Sharp's Trailer Park on North Hamilton Street, said Brent Semones, battalion chief for the Georgetown fire department. The mobile home was "a total loss," he said.
Semones said the cause of the fire has not been determined. Goble said one possibility might be a faulty electrical outlet.
Goble said there were no smoke detectors inside the mobile home.
Carson lived in the mobile home with her son, who was at work at Wal-Mart when the fire was reported after 11 a.m. Sunday.
Carson's body was transferred to Hamilton County in Ohio, where she had relatives, Goble said.
