GEORGETOWN — A former Scott County firefighter pleaded guilty Friday to a felony theft charge for unlawfully using two department gas cards.
Terry Hisle, 33, of Lexington accepted a plea agreement Friday morning in Scott Circuit Court. In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors recommended a one-year sentence. The maximum sentence for the charge is five years.
Hisle pleaded not guilty in February to theft of more than $300 after police said he obtained $6,056 worth of gas for his personal vehicles.
Prosecutors also recommended Hisle pay $6,056 in restitution.
