A Georgetown woman was listed in fair condition Friday after she was stabbed during a dispute over $12, police said.
Kya McIntosh, 19, was stabbed in the abdomen with a kitchen knife with a 4-inch-long blade, said Georgetown police spokesman Lt. Robert Swanigan. The incident was reported at 8 p.m. Thursday at Indian Trace Apartments on Hiawatha Trail in Georgetown.
Her roommate, Kayla Vinson, also 19, was charged with second-degree assault and lodged in the Scott County Detention Center, Swanigan said.
The stabbing happened after one woman accused the other of taking $12.
