The pedestrian killed on Interstate 75 late Sunday was Mitchell A. Bryant, 33, of Georgetown, the Fayette County coroner's office said in a news release Monday.
Bryant died after being struck by several vehicles, according to WKYT. The coroner's office released no other details Monday morning.
Lexington police and the Fayette County coroner were investigating the crash, which occurred at about 11 p.m. Sunday near the Scott county line.
A woman reported to police that she had hit a man walking in the road, WKYT reported. Police found the victim with severe injuries, and they said he also was hit by two tractor-trailers.
The southbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for about five hours before reopening about 4 a.m.
