A two-vehicle crash Thursday evening near the Bluegrass Parkway left a man dead and a woman injured.

A man driving a 1997 Nissan Quest was southbound on Ky. 33, or Troy Pike, when he slammed on his brakes to avoid a vehicle and slid sideways, according to a Versailles police department press release. He crossed the center line, and a 2007 GMC Yukon struck the Nissan on the passenger side.
