A 5 1/2-hour standoff during which a man was holed up inside his home in Georgetown with a rifle ended about 9:45 p.m. Friday.
Police had been monitoring the home of Mike Vest, 35, at 280 Williamsburg Lane, as Vest remained inside.
Vest's wife called police because she was worried about him, according to his sister Angela Vest Helmick.
Helmick and her husband, Mike Helmick, said Vest was upset over marital problems.

Georgetown police responded to a call at 4:10 p.m., and when they determined there was a weapon involved they set up a perimeter and evacuated neighbors, Lt. Robert Swanigan said.
Lexington police brought two robots, which were sent into the house about 9 p.m. to help determine where Vest was in the house; police found Vest in an upstairs bedroom. He woke up when police entered the room, Swanigan said. After a brief struggle, Vest was taken by ambulance to Georgetown Hospital.
Vest was not charged, but charges might be filed later, Swanigan said.
