A Versailles woman died and two people were injured in a Woodford County crash in which a driver ran a red light, police said.
Barbara Drury, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene. The wreck happened about 8 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Falling Springs Boulevard and McCowans Ferry Road.
Drury was the passenger in a Mercedes that was struck in the side by a Volkswagen Jetta driven by Cody Doan, 31, of Lawrenceburg.
It appeared that Doan, westbound on Falling Springs, ran a red light, Versailles police Lt. Daniel Clark said.

William "Bill" Drury, 74, the driver of the Mercedes, was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with life-threatening injuries, Clark said. Doan was taken to the UK hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash, Clark said.
