The body of a man was discovered Sunday inside a burning house on Lexington Street in Versailles, officials said.
Woodford County Coroner Ronald Owens said the man, who appeared to be in his mid 40s, had not been identified but that an autopsy would be performed Monday.
Versailles Police Lt. Daniel Clark said firefighters were called to a burning house at 264 Lexington Street just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday and found the body after extinguishing the fire.
Clark is conducting a death investigation.

Owens said he had not ruled out foul play, though Clark and Owens say they don't suspect it at this point.
