Woodford County briefs: Get rid of old tires the right way

The Waste Tire Amnesty Program will offer free tire disposal from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday-Saturday at District 7 State Highway Department, Crossfield Drive, Versailles. Most tires, including those on rims, will be accepted. Tires not accepted include foam-filled tires, off-road construction equipment tires and solid tires with pressed-on rims. Tire retailers and agricultural tire retailers are not eligible to participate. Call the county recycling office at (859) 873-0660.

Woodford documentary near post-production phase

Kentucky film production company, Marvo Entertainment Group, is nearing the post-production phase for My Kentucky Home: Woodford County, the latest documentary in its My Kentucky Home series. The amount needed to complete funding the project is only $27,480 of the $90,000 total budget. All donor names will appear in the credits for the show and donations are tax deductible.
