Arrest warrants for a man and woman have been obtained by Lexington police after a robbery Monday at a Chase Bank on Winchester Road.

Warrants for first degree robbery were signed for 27-year-old Jesse Williams and 25-year-old Ashley J. Jones, said public information officer Brenna Angel in a news release. Both suspects are from Lexington and their whereabouts are unknown, Angel said.

The two entered the bank at 11:37 a.m., according to police. The man reportedly brandished a gun and demanded money from the tellers.

The robbers ran toward the back of the bank after getting an undisclosed amount of money, according to police. Officers continued to circulate the area surrounding the Eastland Shopping Center in the hour after the robbery.

Police urged the public to help identify the two. Anonymous tips, including photos and videos, can be submitted by texting LEXPD plus the tip to CRIMES (274637). Information can also be sent anonymously through Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at 859-253-2020 or Bluegrasscrimestoppers.com.
