2 victims wounded in shooting off Old Main Street
Lexington police were searching Thursday night for two people in a double shooting off West Main Street near the Lexington Cemetery and downtown.
Officers found two shooting victims — a 23-year-old man and a 27-year-old man — about 3:30 p.m. at Old West Main Street and Thompson Road, and both were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, according to police.
The two were shot in their extremities and the injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
Investigators believe two men, both wearing masks, entered an upstairs recording studio in the building and began shooting, according to police. Neither suspect made demands or tried to take anything.
At this point, it is unclear what led to the shooting, according to police.
Police cars were initially stationed at positions throughout the area as the search for the assailants continued on the ground and from the air.

There was no early indication that the two shootings were related, police said.
Brandon Ashley was charged with wanton endangerment, unlawful imprisonment and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was shot after he tried to prevent Kendall Boulder from leaving the house, police said. Boulder might have acted in self-defense, but he was charged with receiving stolen property.
