Bullets flew about 12 p.m. Wednesday at a gas station on Tates Creek Road but only two vehicles and a pole were damaged.

A man told investigators he and his adult son were getting gas a at the Thorntons on Redding Road when another man pulled up behind them and began firing, Lexington police Lt. Jackie Newman said. No injuries were reported but the two vehicles were hit.

Police continued to search for the shooter, who was reportedly driving a white Dodge Charger with a black stripe, Newman said.

The station’s personnel did not comment.
