A Lexington man faces charges of assault and kidnapping in the weekend stabbing of a woman in Boyle County.
Brian Lainhart, 51, also was charged with fleeing , resisting arrest, and unlawful imprisonment, according to the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office.
On Saturday afternoon, a woman was been stabbed as she jumped from a moving vehicle on Lebanon Road west of Danville.
Lainhart had held the woman against her will and had stabbed her in the lower back as she tried to get away from the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

Lainhart had driven the vehicle into an embankment, but drove away as witnesses called 911.
The vehicle was later found wrecked in a wooded area on Persimmon Knob west of Junction City.
Lainhart was later arrested and was being held in the Boyle County jail. The victim, who was not identified, was in stable condition at a hospital, according to the sheriff’s office.
