Lexington police investigate Saturday night shooting, one killed

Lexington police are investigating a Saturday night shooting that left a man dead.

Dispatch alerted police before 11:30 p.m. at the 400 block of East Sixth Street, said Lt. Jeremy Tuttle. Police located a male with a gunshot wound, who was later transported to a hospital.

Fayette County Corner Gary Ginn’s office said Sunday evening in a news release that the man had died.

Ginn said the man’s name would be released Monday.

Tuttle said no one had been taken into custody, to his knowledge, as of Sunday morning. There were also no suspects as of Sunday morning.
