An Elliott County man was flown to a West Virginia hospital with critical injuries Sunday night after his all-terrain vehicle collided with a car.
Chase Rice, 22, of Sandy Hook was riding his ATV on Ky. 7 when Sherry Branham, 53, of Sandy Hook made a left turn into a parking lot in front of him, according to a news release by Kentucky State Police.
Rice was unable to stop and hit the car. He was thrown from the ATV and was not wearing a helmet, according to police.
He was flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he was listed in critical condition as of Sunday night, according to police.
Branham was taken to Morgan County Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital with minor injuries.
