Wolfe County woman is in critical condition at UK Hospital after being shot multiple times

A Wolfe County woman was in critical condition Thursday at a Lexington hospital after she was shot multiple times, allegedly by a man who fled on a tractor, Kentucky State Police said.

Police found Blanche Creech, 53, of Campton on Wednesday morning in her vehicle on Sandy Ridge Road. She had multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release.

Creech told police that Teddy Creech, 60, of Campton had shot her and fled on a Ford tractor, according to police.

Teddy Creech was arrested on Fallen Water Creek Road, according to police.

Blanche Creech was flown to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, according to police.

Hospital spokeswoman Julie Phillips said Creech's condition remained in critical condition Thursday.

Teddy Creech was charged with first-degree assault and was taken to the Three Forks Detention Center in Lee County, according to police. The investigation continues.
