No one yet charged in Lexington stabbing because of conflicting stories, police say

A man drove himself to the hospital after being stabbed Wednesday night, according to Lexington police.

Because of conflicting accounts, charges had not been filed Thursday, Lt. Clay Combs said.

Police had received a call earlier in the night from a man who said he'd been assaulted, Combs said. The caller said another man — who later arrived at the hospital with the stab wound — tried to kick in his back door after punching him in the face, Combs said. The caller said the man ran away after the caller pushed him.

Both the caller and the stabbing victim had injuries that were not considered life-threatening, Combs said. Both were intoxicated.
